Clubs and Organizations

RATIONALE

The holistic Catholic formation of the students does not depend solely on academic training inside the classroom. The school also offers a wide array of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that provide the students a venue not only to develop their potentials and hone their special talents and skills but much more to deeply realize and live out the school’s core values of FAITH, EXCELLENCE, and SERVICE. Thus, these are possible through a well-guided program for student activities and organizations.

Academic Clubs

Communication Arts Club (Grades 4-6 & Junior High School)

Communication Arts Club aims to develop students’ oral and written communication skills in English and Filipino.

Science Whizzes / Scientist League Club (Grades 4-6 & Junior High School)

The Science Whizzes / Scientist League Club enhances students’ scientific and life processes skills through research, experiments and trainings for responsible existence with other living beings.

Number Crunchers / Number Experts (Grades 4-6 & Junior High School)

The Number Crunchers / Number Experts Club enriches the skills of students who love mathematics by honing their gifts in problem solving and other mathematical skills to be able to help others enjoy mathematical processes.

Homemakers’ Club (Grades 4-6 & Junior High School)

The Homemaker’s Club harnesses students interest in homemaking arts.

Makasaysayang Filipino  Klab(Grades 4-6 & Junior High School)

The Makasaysayang Filipino Club heightens students’ giftedness in geography, history, social issues and with in-depth love for our culture.

SMACINTOSH Club (Grades 4-6 & Junior High School)

The SMACINTOSH Club enhances students’ Computer skills especially in doing arts, graphic designs, and programs. The club also promotes social media etiquette.

Book Lovers’ Club (Grades 4-6 & Junior High School)

The Booklover’s Club aims to develop students’ interest and love for reading through appreciation of varied library resources and facilities.

Peer Facilitators’ Club (Junior High School)

Peer Facilitators’ Club develops students’ skills in listening and interacting with other students in a friendly manner. It enables students to offer their assistance to their peers and to create harmonious relationship with their classmates and schoolmates.

Supreme Magnates (Senior High School)

The Supreme Magnates Club provides the Senior High School students an opportunity to discover and rediscover entrepreneurial management concepts, accounting techniques, and deepen students’ discovery of the various business opportunities.

Einsteinnian Innovators (Senior High School)

The Einsteinnian Innovators Club provides students an opportunity to participate in activities and discussions aimed at promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and advanced manufacturing as a means to explore career opportunities in these STEM areas.

Service Clubs

Marian Chorale/Little Marian Voices (Grades 4-6, Junior and Senior High School)

The Marian Chorale / Little Marian Voices heightens students’ desire to use their singing talent in the service of God through the liturgy and other presentations where their skill is put to good use.

Liturgical Club (Grades 4-6, Junior and Senior High School)

The Liturgical Club prepares students to serve during Eucharistic celebrations and other religious activities as commentators, readers, and acolytes.

SMAC Drum and Lyre Corps (Grades 4-6 & Junior High School)

The SMAC Drum and Lyre Corps develops students’ skills in baton twirling, lyre, and drum playing. Members serve as majorettes, lyrists and drummers to provide music and attraction during school parades and other activities.

Mother Ignacia Club (Grades 3-10)

The Mother Ignacia Club aims to cultivate deep knowledge and love of the Venerable Ignacia del Espiritu Santo and of God and neighbor through prayer, worship and good work.Members engage in in-depth study of the life and works of Mother Ignacia.

SMAC Vocation Club (Senior High School, Personnel, and Alumni)

The Vocation Club provides opportunity for Senior High School Students as well as Personnel and Alumni of RVM schools to understand vocation as a divine call to service to the church and humanity through particular vocational life commitments such as marriage to a particular person, consecration as a religious, ordination to priestly ministry in the Church and a holy life as a single person.

Marian Voice (Grades 4-6, Junior and Senior High School)

The Marian Voice enhances the skills of young writers and artists. The Marian Voice staff takes charge of the school paper published twice every school year. They also represent the school in press conferences and seminars on journalism.

Marian Yearbook Staff (Grade 12 Students)

The Marian Yearbook Staff takes charge of publishing a batch yearbook.

Organizations

Boys Scout & Girls Scout (Grades 4-6 & Junior High School) / Kab Scout and Star Scout (Grades 1-3)

Scouting provides program of activities that integrate fun and challenge geared towards the development of a person. It develops the members to be God-fearing, patriotic, independent, self-reliant and serviceable.

Red Cross Youth Council (Junior High School)

The Red Cross Youth Council of SMAC is established to assist the Philippine Red Cross and to develop in the youth the quality of humanity, impartially, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, universality and unity among the youth in the community.

Ignacian Marian Council (Grades 4-6, Junior and Senior High School)

The Ignacian Marian Council is composed of elected student-leaders who work as the school administration’s ally in implementing school rules and regulations and in planning relevant programs for the good of the school.
