Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz once again proved its excellence in academic competitions as two teams secured notable victories in the Aghamazing competition of the 2025 Division Festival of Talents (DFOT). The young, brilliant minds from our school showcased their scientific knowledge earning well-deserved recognition as one of the best in the division.
The first team clinched third place, demonstrating exceptional critical thinking and teamwork in the competition. Their dedication and passion for science were evident in their outstanding performance. Meanwhile, the second team secured a fourth-place finish, further solidifying SMAC's reputation as a powerhouse of academic excellence.

As the school year ends, the students of Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz once again proved that the spirit of bayanihan is alive. Students from different grade levels, with the support of some parents, worked together to clean their classrooms, ensuring a well-kept learning space for the next school year.
With brooms and dustpans in hand, the Ignacian Marians showed dedication and teamwork, turning the cleanup into a meaningful shared experience. This act of bayanihan truly reflects the true Ignacian Marian spirit.

On behalf of the Ignacian Marians, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) for hosting the impactful Health Education on Substance Abuse and Orientation on R.A. 9165 symposium on Thursday, February 6, 2025. The theme, "BUHAY INGATAN, DROGA'Y AYAWAN," resonated deeply with us.
The information presented was highly informative and provided valuable insights into the risks associated with substance abuse and the importance of adhering to R.A. 9165. As Ignacian Marians, we pledge to apply the knowledge and understanding gained from this symposium to promote responsible decision-making and a healthy lifestyle within our school and community. Indeed, as leaders of our school community, we are continually reminded of our mission as ‘pag-asa ng bayan.’

The Research Panelists of Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz conducted a research visitation with the Grade 12 students, showcasing the young researchers’ hard work, creativity, and dedication. The students successfully presented their innovative products, impressing the panelists with their in-depth knowledge and research-based solutions.
The event was a remarkable success, highlighting the students’ ability to apply research methodologies in real-world applications. With the guidance of their mentors and the keen insights of the panelists, the Grade 12 students demonstrated excellence in research and innovation—a testament to Saint Mary’s Academy’s commitment to academic distinction and transformative education.

Ignacian Marians had a blast at the Youth City 2024!
On December 27-28, 2024, Ignacian Marians joined the Youth City 2024 activity orchestrated by the Capiz Archdiocesan Secretariat for Youth Apostolate of the Archdiocese of Capiz!
Youth City 2024 was a fun celebration of faith and fellowship! Everyone was up all night until dawn participating in electrifying games, dancing and jamming to music, listening to inspirational talks, and embarking on meaningful prayers with the other youths of Capiz.
Unquestionably, Youth City 2024 was a motivating event that reinforced the idea that the youth are the future's best hope and that, when united, we can improve each other's lives.
Ignacian Marians representatives proudly wave the banner of Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz as they participate in the recently concluded BEBRAS CHALLENGE PHILIPPINES PRELIMINARY ROUND.
BEBRAS CHALLENGE PHILIPPINES is a national competition that aims to expose students to algorithms and encourage analytical thinking via task-based problems.

Last November 24, 2024, the Archdiocesan Celebration of Solemnity of Christ the King began at the Capiz Gymnasium in Roxas City, the Eucharist Mass was presided over by Capiz Archbishop Most Reverend Msgr. Victor Barnuevo Bendico, D.D. The celebration continued with a procession of different schools to the Immaculate Conception Metropolitan Cathedral of Capiz.
Saint Mary's Academy of Capiz Community joyfully participated in this significant event, gathering together with faith-filled hearts to honor the reign of Christ in our lives. Students, teachers, and families united in prayer, carrying association banners and pray the rosary.
As the event unfolded, it served as a powerful reminder of our mission to live out our faith actively. Each presence during the event made this truly meaningful experience reminding us of how much we must come together, not just in faith but in fellowship. Together, we proudly proclaim Christ as the center of our lives and the source of eternal hope, committed to carrying His message forward in all we do.

On November 9, 2024, Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz joined the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Be Honest Oratorical Contest at City Mall, Arnaldo Boulevard, Roxas City.
In this showcase of eloquence and insight, Francine Dawn Salgado, a Grade 12 student, captivated the audience with her powerful speech on the value of honesty and its impact on modern society. Competing against 15 talented contestants from public and private schools in Roxas City, Francine rose above the competition, proudly earning second place in the contest.

Today, October 29, 2024, IgMas representatives enthusiastically raised the banner of Saint Mary's Academy of Capiz as they participated in the ScieMathLympics 2024 with the theme: "𝑻𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏: 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝑩𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑻𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘”.
As they set out on an investigation of creative ideas and teamwork to build a brighter future for everybody, the event showcased several unique innovations from various categories and broadened learners' understanding of Science and Mathematics.
Ignacian Marians who competed in the Science Quiz bee emphasized collaboration and teamwork while balancing the core value of excellence with the best performance possible for the upcoming questions.

Ignacian Marians all over Visayas come to unite in one celebration of hope, nurtured in Faith, Excellence and Service. Committed to bring the IgMas identity, the RVM Youth Day was celebrated in Saint Mary’s Academy of San Nicholas, Cebu last October 25-26.
As youth, we are the pilgrims of HOPE. Part of the RYD is the HOPE TALK, where our very own CFC coordinator, S. Ma. Jeciel Villapaz, RVM and IMC President, Francine Dawn Salgado, shared their experiences of HOPE in today’s world. A representation of how Ignacian Marians cope with the troubles of life through God.
With the series of activities, igniting the spirit of unity and bond as one IgMas Community, this has served as light and hope. Indeed, as pilgrims of hope we unite, we celebrate and share one identity in the spirit of camaraderie that is honed by the RVM Institution.

As one of the schools across the nation, Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz community came together to celebrate Nutrition Month with the theme, “𝙄𝙜𝙈𝙖𝙨, 𝙉𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮, 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩: 𝘼 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨” to promote the importance of balanced diets, healthy living, and learning how good nutrition supports our growth and academic success.

IGMAS Swimmers, RHIAN CARL DESCALZO and DEREK YUAN ALBAR pave the way to raise the banner of blue and white in the recently held Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WV-PRISAA) last June 14-15, 2024.
Indeed in Faith, Excellence and Service these Ignacian Marians continue to bring honor and pride to the whole SMAC Community. Young minds and strong hearts dominate with the waves. In pursuit of humble service they continue to serve with eagerness and determination. A huge applause to these Ignacian Marians!
