August 09 | Saint Mary's Academy of Capiz
The year-beginning of recollection can be a time for setting goals, but for the faculty and staff of Saint Maryβs Academy of Capiz, this year began with something deeper. It was a moment to pause, reflect, and be renewed in spirit.
Earlier today, the Missionary Families of Christ together with the Live Christ Share Christ team led the SMAC personnel in a recollection that was more than just a gathering. It was a heartfelt encounter with God and with one another.
The message was simple yet profound. We are like clay in the hands of the Potter, still being shaped into what God intends us to be. Our past, with all its joys and struggles, has molded us into who we are today. Like a tree, we are called to be deeply rooted in faith, in truth, and in God so that the fruits of our service will be good and lasting.
The facilitators reminded everyone that loving God cannot be separated from loving our neighbor. True love is shown not only in grand gestures but also in the small, often unseen acts of kindness that hold our community together. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, the recollection highlighted that every role in school, whether seen or unseen, carries great purpose in forming both minds and hearts.
As the day came to a close, the SMAC personnel left not only with new insights but also with a renewed sense of mission to serve with humility, to work in unity, and to let their faith be the strong roots from which every action grows.
