The Ignacian Marian community commemorated the 277th death anniversary of Venerable Ignacia del Espรญritu Santo, a truly remarkable event that honored her enduring legacy as the foundress of the Religious of the Virgin Mary. The celebration also served as a reminder of her profound faith, humility, and selfless service to others.
It was a meaningful occasion to reflect on her life of simplicity and devotion to God, inspiring Ignacian Marians to live by the values she upheld and to strengthen their commitment to follow her example of love, perseverance, and faithfulness.
On ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐, ๐๐๐๐, Saint Maryโs Academy of Capiz Inc. solemnly celebrated the ๐ต๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐.
Students, and Personnel gathered in prayer and offered a flower to honor Maryโs birth and reflect on her virtues of humility, obedience, and faith.
The celebration reminded us of our Marian identity and mission to live with compassion and grace.

Saint Maryโs Academy of Capiz proudly crowned its Ignacian Marian Ambassador and Ambassadress 2025 during the highlight of the Intramurals and Foundation celebration. Emerging as this yearโs titleholders were Ethan Dominic A. Sicad (House of Fidelis) as SMAC Ambassador and Alfreah Lyra M. Ong (House of Fidelis) as SMAC Ambassadress.
The event also showcased the talents, confidence, and Ignacian Marian spirit of the candidates through various minor and major awards.

On August 27, 2025, Saint Maryโs Academy of Capiz officially opened its Intramurals 2025, filling the campus with cheers, colors, and excitement. The Ignacian Marian spirit shone brightly as the four houses proudly paraded their banners, showcasing unity, creativity, and pride.
Guided by the theme โSMAC @78: IgMas โ Celebrate with a Heart; Compete with Purpose,โ Day 1 set the tone for the games aheadโmore than a contest of strength and skill, it was a celebration of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and Ignacian Marian excellence.

โIt was indeed a very fun run as the students of Saint Maryโs Academy of Capiz joined with smiling faces, splashes of colorful water, and overflowing energy! Held yesterday, August 27, as part of the 78th Founding Anniversary celebration, the event carried the theme โSMAC @78; IgMas: Celebrate with a Heart; Compete with Purpose,โ making it not only a run for fitness but also a celebration of unity and school spirit. Truly, the day became brighter and more colorful because of the Marian community! โ

St. Maryโs Academy of Capiz celebrated its 78th Foundation Day with a Thanksgiving Mass at the school auditorium. Students, teachers, and parents came together to thank God for the blessings through the years. The celebration showed the unity of the Ignacian Marian community and reminded everyone of SMACโs mission of faith, excellence, and service.
The courts and arenas are alive with action! Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, and E-Sports are now underway as our houses โ Veritas, Fortitudo, Caritas, and Fidelis โ battle for pride and glory.

Ika-15 ng Agosto, nagtipon - tipon ang buong komunidad ng SMAC upang ipagdiwang ang ๐๐ฏ๐ด๐ต๐ช๐ต๐ถ๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ด๐ด ๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ถ๐ณ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐บ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ด๐ด๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ. Isang umaga ng taimtim na panalangin at masayang pagbubuklod na inilungsad sa SMAC Auditorium, na nagsimula ng 8:00 ng umaga.
Bago ang misa, sinimulan ang pagdiriwang sa pamamagitan ng prusisyon ng imahe ng Mahal na Birheng Maria habang binibigkas ang Santo Rosaryo. Sinundan ito ng mga handog katulad ng mga kandila, bulaklak, at musikaโbilang tanda ng paggalang at pagmamahal kay Maria. Lumahok dito ang mga mag-aaral mula sa ibaโt ibang baitang, guro, at kawani ng paaralan.
Pinangunahan ni Rev. Marvin Funa ang misa. Ibabahagi ng mga mag-aaral ang kanilang talento sa pagbabasa ng Salita ng Diyos, pag-awit ng tugon, at paghahandog ng mga panalangin. Pinangunahan ng Marian Chorale ang pagkanta, sa pamumuno nina Ms. Hazel Grace Lozada at Mr. Roberto Danieles, ang mga awiting magpapaangat sa damdamin ng lahat. Ang buong okasyon ay naging sagisag ng pagkakaisa ng SMACโmula sa mga altar server hanggang sa mga manonood na naghandog ng kanilang panalangin at mga bulaklak para sa Mahal na Ina.
Sa ganitong mga pagkakataon, higit nating nararanasan ang diwa ng pagkakaisa at pananampalataya. Sa gabay ng Mahal na Birheng Maria, nawaโy maging mas matatag ang ating samahan bilang isang komunidad.

Every year, SMACโs Nutrition Month events bring the community together in a vibrant celebration of wellness, healthy lifestyles, and nutrition education. This yearโs highlights demonstrate how nutrition awareness can be both engaging and beneficial through a range of well-planned activities.
In the afternoon, physical wellness took center stage during the Zumba Dance Craze, where the contagious energy of group dancing promoted exercise as an essential element of a balanced and healthful lifestyle. Participants moved to upbeat rhythms, showcasing the joy and social benefits of staying active.
Creative expression played a vital role in the Poster and Slogan Making Contests. Through artwork and catchy phrases, participants visually and verbally communicated important nutrition messagesโreaching a broader audience and inspiring positive behavior change within the community.
Supporting these efforts was the Infographic Making Activity, which allowed students to blend information design with nutritional facts. Infographics provided an engaging and accessible way to present complex health information, making it easy to understand for all ages.
The Standee Making Activity added another creative and visual element to the Nutrition Month celebration. Like posters and slogans, standees featured large, freestanding displays that communicated nutrition messages clearly and attractively. These standees were placed around the school premises as prominent visual reminders of the importance of healthy eating, balanced nutrition, and active lifestyles.
Together, these events formed a comprehensive approach to Nutrition Monthโcombining education, creativity, and physical activity. By incorporating diverse strategies such as live demonstrations, quizzes, dance, and art, SMAC successfully fostered community involvement, encouraged healthier lifestyle choices, and raised awareness about the vital role nutrition plays in overall well-being.
Such celebrations align closely with the themes of broader national Nutrition Month campaigns, which emphasize food and nutrition security, sustainable food systems, and active living as collective goals for improving public healthโall rooted in Faith, Excellence, and Service, and lived with the heart of an Ignacian Marian.

Our Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten students had a fun and tasty time during their sandwich-making activity. With tiny hands and big imaginations, they layered bread, spreads, and fillings to create their own delicious masterpieces.

Saint Maryโs Academy held its first non-academic club meeting for School Year 2025โ2026. The activity took place inside the classrooms and was joined by many excited students.
During the meeting, club advisers shared their plans and goals for the school year. The students also had the chance to learn more about their chosen clubs and meet other members.
Even though the event was simple, it was filled with energy, teamwork, and new beginnings. It showed that learning in SMAC is not only about lessons in books, but also about growing in talents, values, and friendship.
This meeting marked a fun and meaningful start to a year of new experiences beyond the classroom.

JUNE ACTIVITIES

Saint Maryโs Academy of Capiz held its Acquaintance Party, and it was a fun and joyful day for everyone. Students enjoyed exciting games that brought laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition. One of the highlights was the point systemโstudents earned points by joining games, and these points could be exchanged for prizes. This made more students excited to join and take part in the fun.
To make the day even better, students brought their own snacks and shared them with friends. It was a simple but special moment where classmates bonded over food and laughter. More than anything, the Acquaintance Party gave everyone a chance to relax, make new friends, and enjoy time with their schoolmates. It was a reminder that school is not just about lessonsโbut also about friendship and happy memories.
The auditorium of Saint Maryโs Academy of Capiz came alive on the second day of classes with laughter, cheers, and dancing. Students and teachers gathered to warmly welcome the new school year, filled with joy and Ignacian Marian spirit.
It was a special day that showed the true spirit of the school. Ignacian Marians are growing in faith, striving for excellence, and serving others with a humble heart.
